Register of Deeds

The Register of Deeds Office records, preserves, and provides access to many of Sequatchie County’s important land and legal records. This office maintains official documents related to real estate ownership, property transfers, deeds, mortgages, liens, plats, releases, and other records required by law to be filed with the county.

The office assists citizens, title companies, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and other agencies with recording documents and locating public records. By maintaining accurate and accessible records, the Register of Deeds helps protect property ownership, support real estate transactions, and preserve the county’s historical record.
